It Takes Two

Two beings.

So different, yet so similar.

One tortured and tired. One abandoned and changed.

The first, a stout skeleton. Littered in scars, and forced to take the role of God of Destruction. With bones as dark as obsidian, and an endless trail of tears forever on his face, he is ridiculed and hated for a life he never wanted to be part of.

The second, a slim gem. Left alone in a single spot for 6,000 years, out of sheer loyalty and care for another. With forever-crying eyes, she hatched her revenge on this gem's family, unaware of her wrongdoings in her despair.

Both given a bad hand in life.

Both hurt beyond repair.

Both just wishing for someone to understand.

Both finally getting what they wished for.
