I sat down on the nearest table in the coffee shop. I stirred the coffee with the thin red straw making foam appear in the brown, hot liquid. I made my nervous hands straighten my dress. He should be here any minute. I have no idea what will he think or even do but I hope to god nothing too bad happens.

I watched him come in the coffee shop and looked around for me. Once he found me he quickly sat down, his face had worry written all over. We stood there in silence until I broke down.

"Autumn what is it?" He asked as I started to cry. I didn't answer I just stared at him as he brought the clear mug to his lips.

"I'm pregnant." I blurred out and he dropped the mug making tiny pieces of glass fall all over the place.

I apply pressure to the bullet hole. The pain nearly causes me to grow numb. Darren scoops me up into his arms as he tries to avoid sudden danger. His cautious movements are for my benefit. I gasp at the sudden pain. My heart pumps faster. Adrenaline kicking in. "Hold on, Autumn." I look up at his face. I never would've thought I'd actually care for him. Darren and I only teamed up because we were running from the same person. My father. When things quiet down around us, he lays me down on the ground. "Autumn, look at me. Please." The anguish is clear in his voice. I'm sure he feels the same way about me. The surprise of two strangers caring for one another. I look up at him with hooded eyes. He smiles weakly. "Hi." "Hey." I croak. He rips the bottom of my shirt and uses it to help apply pressure. It's soaked instantly. "I can't believe that son of a bitch--" He looks at me. "I can't believe he shot you." "He didn't shoot me." I try to sit up, flinching at the pull of my side. "The guard did. He didn't know who I was." Darren clenches his jaw. "You're losing a lot of blood." I force a laugh. "I guess it's a good thing that I'm a fighter." His eyebrows draw closer together. I wanted to say something to easy his concern, but words lodge in my throat, causing me to sputter. It feels like I'm choking. Desperately trying to catch my breath. "Autumn? Autumn!" I try to say his name among my coughing fits, but blackness grabs me with its cold merciless hands before I can get a word out... That moment when you have to learn to accept yourself, but you don't even know who you are. Your reality is shattered. And everything you thought was real, becomes the opposite. (Inspired by a dream)

EXCERPT: I scoffed and waved my hands in the air dramatically in ickiness. Eeww it Smells like tuna!!!! I gagged and looked up. MARCEL HARRY STYLES "You fucking little cunt!!! You have four damn eyes use them before I pull them out with my bare hands idiot!!!" I threatened "look what you did!!! It's zayns sweater fucking bloody hell!!!" I shouted. Sam came over with napkins and helped me clean it. "I-I'm sorry. I was erm distracted" he studdered and tried to help me clean up the food off the hoodie "No shit Sherlock!" I snapped and I felt the entire schools populations eyes on me. Fuck I grabbed a Gatorade from the table nearby which I'm sure was some kids but he'll I'll pay for it later. I took matters into my own hands and poured the Gatorade onto his curly head. You would've thought he would have winced or curled into a ball but nope he just stood there and took what had him coming. Everyone began to laugh and point and I'm sure he's experienced this thousands of times before.
