But neither her new mom Eda, nor the little town in the midwest seems to be just ordinary and as her past mistakes slowly grasp at her, as the world around begins to let down its masquerade, she can't longer outrun her past.

Luz has went to camp and when she came back she didn't act any different, she still didn't get one friend so her mother (Camila) changed. She got aggressive/abusive with Luz and school doesn't help, the second day of school comes and before Luz leaves she runs away and finds a house. But Luz has changed, she was mean, quiet, hostile and had mad trust and anger issues she also developed Hemophobia (fear of blood) and Traumatophobia (fear of having an injury). When joining Hexside the girls there were mean and harsh like the kids at her human school, but Luz learned how to stick her ground there at her human school. Luz would stand her ground and be mean to literally everyone that got in her way. At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough?
