Cheryl is a "broken" teen, who has been through hell and back. She is accepted by her mother but picked on at school because of her father and brother's death. They died from a boating accident. She's also very smart and wears glasses.
Toni is the complete opposite. Toni is very independent and lives with her uncle who is never home. She's the captain of the basketball team. She is popular at school and has many friends but only a few close friends. Everyone wants to be her friend. She has two brothers; Fangs and Sweetpea.
You would think they would have to opposite life.
The school mascot is a serpent.
