On October 1st, in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born. No signs of pregnancy the day before. Eight are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. 
In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. 
Fast forward to the present time, when the seven surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat.

The protagonist of this book-- Amaya Hargreeves-- had just started to get used to the current year and time after an incident that caused her to lose the life she was used to, when her father suddenly passes away and reunites her with her siblings, even the ones she presumed to be dead. 

After the memorial, she assumed her life would go back to normal, but she was wrong. Her life is once again changed when her brother reveals why he came back from the future. 
The world ends in just a few days, and her siblings are not in condition to save it.

People call him The Seance . Klaus is a telekinetic ghost seeing and manifesting badass at least that's what he thinks . The ghosts and his powers are a every day life thing for him now and he is sure that at this point nothing can surprise him or so he thought ........ He's 29 years old now and apparently this ghost of a billionaire wants him to go to his house and save the world . Klaus finds himself wondering if this crazy ghosts is serious or not but eventually he gives in and finds himself in front of The Umbrella Academy Household. And if Klaus said that this family was a dis functional family , then that would be an understatement of the year or at least what's left of it according to the old man inside a child's body ?! Because at the beginning of the day, those women had showed no signs of pregnancy whatsoever. Therefore he adopted a child, her name was Elizabeth. Soon, she had to ability to turn her body into a gas. However, after that succeeded he got mad with power. He wanted to see if it was possible to make someone immortal. it was much too dangerous to try to on himself, therefore, he chose Elizabeth. Instead of making her immortal, it made her "stuck" in a way. She simply did not age, she was stuck in the body of her 13-year-old self. She would eventually die as her mind aged, but her appearance would stay the same. They formed the Umbrella Academy. Elena Romero was a normal girl that hadn't discovered what, if anything, was extraordinary about her. The only thing worth noting is her amazing ability to suffer through hellish dates and live with an over-dramatic mother and an addict of a brother. Some could say her super power was making her dysfunctional family appear functional. She was the glue that held her family together, she was their remedy.
