Real monsters are not under our beds but instead, living amongst us. We see them everyday, meet and maybe even greet them. They look just like us and maybe we're also monsters to some. You see, in our everyday life we witness many tragedies, but how many do we try to stop? How many people in need have you helped? How many people in need have you shamed? Can you proudly say you've never hurt anyone? No, we're humans, we do and will continue to make mistakes. However, there's a fine line between being a human and being a monster. You make mistakes and hurt without care - you're a monster. And quite possibly, someone's nightmare as well. The world hurt you, so now you're gonna hurt another soul to make yourself feel better? That's not human. You don't have to sacrifice your own happiness to help other, but at the very least, you can stop hurting others with your thoughtless words. It's called empathy, being thoughtful of others feelings. You don't know what people go through, you don't know their story, you have no right to comment on their lives if you don't even know how they're living.
This is a few oneshots compiling sad incidents that have happened before and could also happen to you or your loved ones. We often don't know they struggle till it happens to us so I'm writing these in hopes of making my readers understand that not everyone has a perfect life, at least not as perfect as we might want to seem. Each and every person here is constantly being haunted by comparisons, envy, jealousy and pain. Your two simple sentences might have made someone cry, tearing open deeply buried wounds or even caused new wounds to an already scarred person, a little bit of decency and empathy won't cost you a single cent.
