There is a saying, that the eyes are the window to the soul, so when I locked eyes across banquet hall with the mysterious masked man we immediately began to close the distance between us. The buzzing in my ear gets louder the closer that we get but when me meet in the middle of the dance floor it suddenly comes to a halt. Time stops and the chatter fades out. The filled room around us blurs from my vision and it feels like we are the only ones in the world. His golden eyes don't leave mine for even a second as he grabs my hand and brings it up to his lips placing a soft kiss on my knuckles then lowering my hand but never letting go of it. He is just as focused on me as I am on him. The saying never made sense to me before but now that he is here staring directly into my eyes, I think I finally understand. It feels like he sees right through me. My strengths, my vulnerabilities, my bliss, my burdens. Seeing me for all that I am. As I gaze back at him I see his. I see the sadness behind those beautiful eyes. The pain for all that's he's lost, the strength to go forward, the happiness for all that he's gained, the love for all that he has. I see him for all that he is. A thrilling and emotional tale of two beings who try to navigate their newly found romance while dealing with a haunting past and chaotic present. 🚨 Warning 🚨 Mature Language Gore
