It has been several years since the Keybearers of Light had their final confrontation with Master Xehanort. In that time the universe experienced a respite from the Darkness that had a hold of it for over a decade. Like all things, however, this time of peace came to an end. Beings known as Eidolons emerged from deep within the Realm of Darkness with no decipherable goals other than the destruction of all worlds in the Realm of Light. To defeat these immensely powerful foes it will take the combined efforts of both the old and new generation of heroes. However, even the entirety of the forces of Light may not be able to stop the coming Darkness.

While restarting the first journey, the young woman fell in love with him and he returned her feelings; however, during the final battle once more, he sacrificed himself to save a little girl, humanity, and the young woman. Having him gone made her run away, leaving her duty to protect the sacred land, brokenhearted. And so, she flew across the Other Sky until she came upon a world where brightful sentient horses inhabited the world. A year or two has past and now she'll be joined by her little brother to protect the world from darkness and other forces.
