It has been several years since the Keybearers of Light had their final confrontation with Master Xehanort. In that time the universe experienced a respite from the Darkness that had a hold of it for over a decade. Like all things, however, this time of peace came to an end. Beings known as Eidolons emerged from deep within the Realm of Darkness with no decipherable goals other than the destruction of all worlds in the Realm of Light. To defeat these immensely powerful foes it will take the combined efforts of both the old and new generation of heroes. However, even the entirety of the forces of Light may not be able to stop the coming Darkness.

Annabelle or preferably Analia, is a sixteen year old girl trying to achieve her dream to become a Keyblade Master in the Land of Departure. Living in the Land of Departure with her friends, Liviana, Tessa, Terra and Aqua she has learned to be very caring, especially for people she doesn't even know. Annabelle's life then changes immediately after meeting this blonde. As the four years pass, Annabelle's friend Tessa leaves which comes as a surprise but isn't sudden because of the fact that Master Serenity calls for her. However, during these four years, her mother, Master Ayaka leaves, leaving Annabelle with a newly formed personality. Due to the two leaving, Annabelle finds the Land of Departure a little empty, specifically without her mother. During the pass of the four years, at some point, a boy named Ori showed up, who Master Eraqus had informed his pupils and children he believed was The Prince of Kingdom Hearts. Annabelle hadn't understood what he meant, nor had she known she would understand eventually, but in a dark revelation. Ori seemed to be uninterested in having a conversation with anyone in the Land of Departure but eventually talked to Annabelle and then the others. Little did Annabelle know that the night before the Mark of Mastery Exam would be her last night at home... before everything went downhill. Annabelle is about to learn how cruel the worlds can actually be, and she's not going to like it.

Having him gone made her run away, leaving her duty to protect the sacred land, brokenhearted. And so, she flew across the Other Sky until she came upon a world where brightful sentient horses inhabited the world. A year or two has past and now she'll be joined by her little brother to protect the world from darkness and other forces.
