Written for a bunch of Pinterest people who asked me to.
Shi thinks he is in for quite possibly the worst (and last) Time Travel mission of his whole life when one of the locals, Itzal, catches onto his futuristic tech. He's been sent to investigate the unusual murders described in a recently uncovered scroll, and with some serious pestering on Itzal's part, the two begin to work together. However, as time goes on, it is obvious that the local isn't exactly what he seems.

Most of the book is switching between views of the main characters. We want you to expect the unexpected in this book, for example: Most books don't kill off the main character, we want you to think we will kill off one of them.
