For the well-to-do Malone cousins, reputation is everything. For the elder cousin, Clara, her reputation is staked to her swift tongue and clever mind. The younger, Ophelia, is a gentle and pure young lady born into a wealthy society, dreaming of the day when she will marry the man of her dreams. Clara is much the opposite, having sworn off love after many a failed attempt. Only when a group of familiar faces blows into town and stays under the same roof do the Malones find themselves in uncharted territory. In this retelling of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, we find the Bard's classic characters thrown into the chaotic world of the American 1920s, complete with lovable gangsters, roaring parties, and the ever-high stakes of romance and all it carries with it.

He strokes my hair, his other arm keeping me tightly to him. "Do you trust me?" I look at him profoundly. "Yes" "Then you know enough" ~ Do you really choose who to love? When you're born rivals just like Romeo and Juliet, can you really beat what you were meant to be? Or are you supposed to stay put and behave? A woman that's scarred inside and out is now a machine designed to kill those who made her like this. A troubled past, only two people she actually bears, and five rivals to run after. Five pretty good looking rivals just as cold as her. And let's be clear, in Angelo Vellonteschi the only angelic and pure thing is his name. And in Maverine Bellaux the last thing you should touch is her dignity.
