Alex Wright, twenty-two years young, usually content with her small town lifestyle, finds herself wanting more once she meets the enthralling Eliza Cooper, the twenty-something year old woman who just moved into town. Eliza moves around the town as if she owns it, everyone falling in love with her presence, and Alex is no exception. Though, the way the town views Eliza's character as mysterious and secretive is not who Eliza truly is. She is warm and friendly, which Alex soon finds out for herself through her dearest friend, Arthur, the elderly man at Cape Sonnet's Retirement Home, Sonnet Acres. The blooming friendship between herself and Eliza provides Alex the opportunity to test her own limits and present herself in her truest light. The closer they get, the more their stories get told, which allows the women to know and be known by each other, deeper than any other. The lines of friendship become blurred and threaten the dignity of the women like no other, while also testing their want for each other, in every sense.
