"Death is one hell of a thing."
The world as they know it is gone, taken over by a virus that causes the dead to roam and crave human flesh. Annabeth Hayes has no survival skills whatsoever, and in attempt to learn to adapt she begins taking notes in a journal... but as time goes on, her and her companions start to wonder whether or not the undead are the worst thing to face in this new, hellish reality.
