This is the story where two people unexpectedly find love during a deadly virus outbreak. 5th Grade Teacher Katie Frank had taken her students on a field trip to the hospital, joining along with them was Katie's best friend Gabriela Peters. Gabriela had gone along to help her best friend little did she know something very terrible had taken place and things as she knew it were about to change.

Iris Lithe is the student teacher for Ms. Frank's elementary class. When the class decides to go on a field trip to the local hospital, things take a turn for the worst. A deadly virus breaks out and no one knows what it is, or how to stop it as a whole portion of the city, including the hospital they are at, is quarantined off. Iris then meets a young officer by the name of Jake Riley who is also trapped in the quarantine.
