Lighttail is a warrior with hopes to one day become leader of her beloved clan. She has everything she could possibly want, and lives a normal life that she's more than happy with. But everything changes when three clans unexpectedly merge into the powerful Darkclan, abandoning all rules of the warrior code. As tensions rise battles break out, and the clans begin to fall apart. Desperate to save the clans, Lighttail hatches a plan to help that backfires and leaves her with more sorrow than she's ever imagined. And before she knows it, Lighttail finds herself on a journey with an ex-ShadowClan member, a tom who wants to be more than friends, a rouge with knowledge in herb, and a single prophecy that is the only way to save her clan.

But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it. But as tensions rise between FlameClan and CliffClan, she's worried about the future ahead of them.
