The story begins with two broken teenagers, trying to find their places in the world after trauma has stricken both of them. One lives in an abusive home and lost her brother to suicide. The other is a transgender male whose parents have gotten divorced because of his identity. The two could not be more different, but for Teagan and Barrett, their differences give them the strength to face their dysfunctional families, discrimination, and every threat together. (Written in 2019)
