An AU where Darth Vader found out he had a son, intercepted Obi-Wan on his way to Tatooine, and took Luke. To keep him safe from the Emperor, he hid him away on Arvala-7, where years later Din Djarin would land to collect a bounty on a 50-year-old child. Having never seen the galaxy except for what was visible from his singular window, Luke decides to go with the Mandalorian when he leaves. Specific story warnings at the beginnings of each chapter, but the biggest one is an ongoing theme of overcoming child abuse (though it is not explicit and not talked about often past the first couple of chapters) so I would like to share some resources: Abuse of any kind is never okay. For help with child abuse, please contact your local CPS hotline, or speak out to mandated reporters like teachers and doctors. They can help you and will keep you safe. If you suspect a child you know is being abused, contact CPS and do not attempt to handle the situation yourself unless it is an immediate emergency, in which case call 911 or your local emergency line. For help with domestic abuse, contact the domestic violence hotline. In America, this number is 800-799-7233 and they are available through both call and text in English and Spanish and have interpreters for over 200 other languages. Never hesitate to ask for help and leave a situation that is unsafe for you and your family. If you suspect that someone is being abused, you can try to encourage them to seek help, but sometimes it is better to just call help for them. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Instead of heading to the pod races, like his Uncle Owen had promised him, the Lars family heads to Mos Eisley to be counted in the census. Complications ensue when Luke runs in front of a landspeeder. The Emperor's henchman, Darth Vader, is not pleased about the disturbance and takes matters into his own hands. A Fan Reboot story of adventure, reunion, and redemption. 1st place: The Crayon Awards Fanfiction (all fandoms) 2nd place: Royalty Awards Fanfiction (all fandoms) 4th place: The Elimination Awards General Fiction July 2017 5th place for Best Tear Jerker (all genres): Crystal Awards Excerpt: Vader stiffened when he saw her face. He knew her. Beru. Vader knelt down next to her, using his cape to quell the bleeding from the boy's arm. Vader looked at the boy through his red lenses, sensing something he had never felt before. He should know this boy. He felt a connection. Owen broke past the stormtroopers who were now guarding the door to the headquarters, but they detained him before he reached Vader. "Let go of me. That's my son! Let go of me." Owen broke free and ran toward Vader. Vader turned just as Owen reached him, grabbing him with the Force by his neck and lifting Owen above him. Vader recognized him. "You!" Vader yelled. Something within Vader caused him to look back at the boy, and then to both Owen and Beru. There was no way that boy was theirs. There was no similarity. "You lie!"

Kenobi - A Star Wars Story (FANFICTION)

12 parts Complete

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.... Once known as Obi Wan Kenobi, Ben keeps to himself on the desert planet Tatooine. As he struggles to accept himself following the betrayal of his brother-like apprentice he pledges to rarely use the force and fights to confine his self to a small number of acquaintances, avoiding any one who may be a threat to his hiding place. Meanwhile, a Jedi knight lurks close to Ben's home; and his suspicions begin to rise when the man slowly enters his shadows. His only way of surviving is now threatened and the force is nearly leaking out of his fingertips. Thus he seeks out the one person he learns can help him; the father of the young woman who has pried at his heart since the day they met. Without the help from a faithful friend, he will be unable to sustain his veiled presence and avoid his enemy. Forthwith he is now faced with two challenges. Stay true to his promises and at no time slip from the self-chosen vow to never make the same mistake his apprentice did. I do not own Star Wars. I do not own the cover art.
