The Subtle Art of Coffee

Basically a Coffee Shop AU

It is very much an AU, it is not meant to be rigidly accurate to "The Umbrella Academy"
• Five has his powers (very briefly implied, never elaborated)
• He ages normally, aka not stuck in a teenage body
• Reader is not aware of his powers (At least for now)

The coffee shop around the corner was an odd establishment. From the selection of flowers that decorated the windows -overgrown to the point they looked akin to a small forest covered in ivy- to the strange hours that they were open. Unlike many cafes or coffee houses, their only business hours were between the times of 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. When you had first moved to the apartment complex nearby, you were certain that you would never set foot into the shop. That was, however, before you had been the last-minute replacement as editor for the new up-and-coming writer; KP Jenti. Jenti had recently become a well-known writer with his first romantic novel, "The Trouble with Strings." And you were ecstatic to discover that the publishing firm you worked for had assigned you to be his editor. Unfortunately, that also meant that you would have to become nocturnal, working nights and sleeping during daylight, to submit your edits and revisions on time. Due to the differences in time-zones, you were bound to this fate.
