Every cycle of the four seasons, at the very start of leafbare, a cat most be sacrificed to StarClan to help defend against the Dark Forest. If this is not done, prey will run out, and the Clan must slowly but surely starve.
But what happens when the Clan's own leader is chosen? A leader...with no deputy?
Now it is up to Copperpetal, SnowClan's medicine cat to choose.
