I disown ts someone take this and make it their own (not actually) but I hate this so much its so cringe why is this my most viewed book when the cover was cringeworthy, too? 😭 God I hate this and that's the takeaway :) Test Tube was working on a private scientific experiment. She never let anyone know about it. It was a substance that she thought could change the entire perspective of the world... in a good way, obviously. No bad intentions. Except, the substance had a mind of its own... It became an infection that triggered an unprovoked apocalypse. We headed north for a day, or what i thought was north, to be honest, I couldn't tell. The pain from my leg was making my mind blur and each passing minute was pure agony. Nutmeg was beginning to tire and the pups, well I had to pick them up a while back, they kept on falling behind. I suppose I'm lucky in some ways, one of them been that it's spring and not winter but the wind is still cold, its always so cold... Hope I make this book as good as the last one. I couldn't look but I wanted so badly to see and know what or who was behind me. A tear of fear slowly slid down my cheek. I gasped in a low voice when I felt a tongue lick it away. More tears started falling when I felt a clawed finger brush the salvia away. I whimpered when I heard it speak: "It's okay. I'm only here to protect you and help you." Lissie is being stalked and she does not know what to do or who to tell. She does not know what is following her.
