When Hiccup was 5 years old, always hanging out with Astrid, one day he got sick and there was a dragon raid and Stormcutter came in his house and the Valka was too late to save him so instead Stormcutter stole him away. When Stormcutter brought him to the place where the king is the king saved Hiccup's life and gave him dragon's powers like dragon's eye strength, and the king can control him because the powers he gave him were just like all dragons. But he won't have wings or dragon's tails, but he will learn how to speak with dragons and he'll forget how to speak English. This book will have grammar errors. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is the only son of Stoick the Vast, chief of the Hooligan tribe. As his only son, he is next in line for the chiefdom which wouldn't be a problem, if he wasn't a runt. Viking's believe that a name is what strikes fear into your enemies. Hiccup's obviously doesn't. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. When he finally captures a night fury there is a change of plans, as he's been placed first in dragon training he plans to flee the village but gets caught and everything changes. Astrid who has always had a crush on Hiccup gets worried when she overhears a conversation the village was having about him, and decides to try and find him in the woods but instead discovers a big secret he hides.
