Naruto knew she was considered a monster. She knew why too. Even if she has never done anything, people shoved, scowled, and beat her. So she thought, why not give them a reason to call me a monster.
Since a young age, Ino had her life planned out. Become a ninja, get married, and quit. Be pretty, Ino, that's all that matters. Ino's done, she wants to plan her own life, outside of her parents, outside of the normal.
Shikamaru was a Nara. Thanks to his name he can't do anything. Lazy, smart, unmotivated. So what if he wants to go outside and explore the world, instead and sleeping his life away. He wants to live.
