As the clock in the waiting room ticks away, April can't help but sense that it is counting down to something... but to what? She's not sure.

Her past brought us together, but it was mine that threatened to tear us apart. We were two people who couldn't have been more different. She was the good girl; I was the bad boy. I was everything she shouldn't have wanted. And she was everything I didn't know I needed. I was broken. She was perfect. She wasn't like the other girls. She intrigued me. Captivated me. When I first saw her across the room, I knew I had to talk to her. Needed to be near her. It's why I followed her when she left suddenly, abandoning her friends and leaving the party to go outside. She was too quick for me to keep up, though when her screams tore through the night air, I broke into a sprint, needing to save her. ---------- We were two people bonded in tragedy. He was the mysterious saviour. I was the one saved. I was broken. He was perfect. He found me in the woods. Saw me at my most vulnerable. He held me when I was falling apart and got me the help I needed. We hadn't planned to fall for one another. But we had. Deeply. Completely. But neither of our pasts were done with us yet, and they weren't going to let us go without a fight. ___________ PLEASE NOTE: This book contains sensitive subject matter.
