Braiden Morelli is definitely without a doubt, the hottest guy at Lakewood High. He's popular, has a killer smile, plays football, and he can sing. He's got it all. All except for the girl he really wants. About halfway down the social ladder sits Brooklyn Moderini. She's an inbetweener. She's most definitely not a nerd, she doesn't have anything in common with the geeks, but she's not popular either. She's got a couple of close friends, and a super popular, annoying older by one minute brother named Shane. Braiden and Brooklyn have made a fair point of ignoring one another since their childhood friendship ended the day middle school started. But once they end up as partners for their Peer Tutoring class, and get stuck with student teaching the freshman in Health Communications things start to heat up. It would kill either of them to admit this, but they soon forget the rules of social ranking they're acustomed too. They begin following the rules of attraction.

Brooklyn goes to middle school. She thinks having a crush on some guy seems easy but stupid. She has had a crush on Jack Palmer for a few years now. Though, she doesn't really know love. Each day seems to be it's usual, until he offers to take her to a party. The classic mean girls still exist. At Brooklyn's school that title belongs to Sasha Evans. She has been the girl that shows up followed by trouble at it's least expected. After awhile they don't know what else to expect. Trying to live the most of your middle school year is a pain when you are someone else's piece in their fun. Brooklyn meets old friends and new people which can bring struggles. She would have never thought being a middle scholar could be so hard. She now knows she has thought wrong. Update: I write this a while ago and I wish I would've put more thought into it. *sigh*
