Troy is considered a rogue male to the rest of lion shifters. Which is why he was picked by another pride to help return one of their lionesses back to them. Troy might be considered rogue but he comes from a very old line. One that got his entire pride killed by hunters leaving him to fend for himself at a young age with no home. Which is a very different world than Tatianya comes from, and from the moment he meets her he knows she's trouble. Headstrong and forward, like most lionesses Troy tries to ignore his attraction to her. Especially when she goes into heat, and it becomes hard to ignore. Mating is for life with shifters, and he doesn't want the responsibility of a pride, nor to watch the death of those he loves again. Troy promises to get her back to her family, but doing so may prove more than either of them bargained for.
