Ten years after the Battle of Exegol, the Jedi order has slowly regrown. And while things are not exactly how they were before the Empire, Rey has recruited many force-sensitive people from all across the galaxy to learn the ways of the force. But, as it seems, as the Jedi are regrowing their order, First Order stragglers have begun to regrow the Sith order. Will Rey's new risen order of Jedi's be enough to stop the Sith? Or will the galaxy fall into the hands or a dark lord yet again?

*Hearts of the Inquisitors, Episode 1, is the prequel to my original Hearts of the Inquisitors book, which acts as a companion piece to the game Jedi: Fallen Order* Set one year before the events of Fallen Order, the Empire is rising to it's prime, ruthlessly hunting down all remaining Jedi in hordes. At this time, Vader was already training four apprentices. But his most cunning student was a young, garish human named Cor Shan. A former apprentice Seeker for the Jedi and incredibly gifted with the Force, he was now a Seeker for the Empire. Vader utilized his unique ability to track Jedi in his mind as if it were his own, sending Shan to lead almost every crucial mission the Empire had involving high-profile Jedi. This resulted in the immediate captures and deaths of countless knights across a very short time period. However, one task continuously eluded the Dark Lords: eliminating a brand new syndicate which now stands as a threat to the Empire. With a recent devastating attack on the Empire, Vader had learned of a new shadow organization known as the "Black Gora," a very robust cult created by an alliance between the Black Sun and the remnants of the Bando Gora, a Force-worshiping cult formally lead by High Priestess Komari Vosa in the final years of the Galactic Republic. As Sidious had informed Dooku long ago, the Bando Gora were a threat to his will which needed to be eliminated. Although Vosa is dead, her vision is not, and now it has been set lose again to infringe upon the Empire. As our tale begins, his new apprentice Cor Shan and the Second Sister are both sent for to solve this problem. The Second Sister for her deadly skills, Shan for his sharp mind, and both for their high intelligence. As emotions grow strong between them, can they stop this syndicate in time?

This story will actually be made up of several short stories that take place after my re-writing of Star Wars The Last Jedi and will show what characters have been up to in since then. It will take place over a 4 year time span but not in an kind of order, for example chapter one might take place in 37ABY, and chapter two might only be in 34ABY. These stories will follow Rey, Kylo, Finn, Poe, Suu, Gwren, Tiffony, Hux, and Rose on there different adventures and personal growth since my story ends. The Jedi are gone, burned down in the Second Purge by Darth Keera herself, leaving scattered survivors across the galaxy. The New Republic remains tense, anticipating that the Imperial Remnant might make their move. A military ship makes a discovery in the Outer Regions that will change everything- the survival of one of the Skywalkers. The Children of the Stars is a saga examining the story that could follow the sequels. The children of Ben Solo and Rey feature as protagonists alongside the son of Finn and Rose Tico, and the daughter of Poe Dameron and Kaydel Ko Connix. Several characters from Legends also make their appearance.

(Book 2) A year has gone by since the First Order failed to get the map that would take them to Luke Skywalker. Kylo Ren has continued to train Zeh Skurn in the ways of the Sith, determined to get revenge on the Resistance and that scavenger Rey. The Knights of Ren have gathered at their base in preparation for the final strike that is to come once Skywalker is killed and Snoke's arrival is nearing. Both Kylo and Skurn are positive they will win this time. However, could they be underestimating the power of the light side? Rey is no longer just a scavenger. She has trained with Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi, and though not fully trained, is already powerful. Rey and her team of Poe, Finn, and BB-8 are determined to stop the Sith once and for all... for Alder' s sake. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. Could their star-crossed connection be tied to the fate of the galaxy? This is a slow burn! Enemies to friends to lovers. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. All plot elements are intended to be canon-compliant through TLJ. This is 100% complete. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story.
