The world is anything but a fairy tale. There are vicious monsters that plague the world's existence, the soulless creatures of darkness, Grimm. But, alas, humanity always chooses the longer path to ruin. There are people who fight the monsters, some wear capes, some have animal traits, but all wield a weapon unique to only them. Some have even gained the favour of the Gods and obtained powers and weapons unlike anything else.

To train the future generations of huntsmen and huntresses, dedicated educational institutions have been built across the globe of Remnant in hopes of fighting back the beasts of despair. Beacon Academy is one such place, the most prestigious in the kingdom of Vale. Here, only the very best have the opportunity to hone their craft and master their skills.
