Alexander Hamilton knew he would make it. He knew what he wanted to do with his life after the hell he lived through on Nevis. Wanting to have a legacy, he wrote his way out of the islands and scored a scholarship at Kings College. He just never imagined the people he would meet along the way would change his outlook to slow down, take a break, and live in the moment. 

John Laurens only knew how to live in the moment. He had no real long time goal because he didn't control his life- his father did. He only appreciated the friends he gained over the years, since they were one of the main reasons he stayed alive. But when a nonstop talking short boy catches his attention, Laurens feels like he can hope for a better future.
