The Fourth World ended abruptly in chaos and terror, as the prophets had predicted. So it was that the 'Peaceful People' continued on to populate the Fifth World and bring about disorder once again. It is in this newly chaotic Fifth World, in the village of Twenty-and-Two, that we meet our unlikely hero. Awanyu is a young mana born into a strict family unfortunately blessed with the great power of a nagual. As a youth she naturally tends toward much trouble and is eventually ostracized by her family, leading her to a life of much solitude and sorrow. But when the fate of the world is suddenly thrust into her hands as well as a band of equally unlikely world-savers, can she rise to the occasion and lead them to restore peace and harmony in the Fifth World...before it's too late?
