Two people and two dogs, and the beginning of their love story.
Nini works a desk job at a dance and vocal studio run by everyone's favorite couple, Seb and Carlos. She's sailor mouthed receptionist that goes broke to the swear jar everyday. Working alongside her brotherly figure, Ej, and his wife, Gina, makes life seem okay. She never had a dream job and is okay with this boring life she lives. Outside of work, her life revolves around her 7 month old golden doodle, Peeta, and her best friend Kourtney. She's been through the ringer when it comes to relationships and is so sick and tired of dating, until she meets Ricky.
Ricky is the most laid back, surfer boy you'll ever meet. He gives surfering lessons and helps around his friend's surf shop when needed. Having lost contact with his mother, and losing his father to the afterlife years back, he considers Big Red and Ashlyn as his only family. Oh, and Rocco. He's about a 3 three yearold rescue golden retriever and is the light of Ricky's life. He often takes him swimming and out to the dog park. The same one where he met Nini.
Now, Nini instantaneously fell in love with the boy and his pup right when they met. She wanted surfer boy more than anything. But there's one issue: Ricky has a girlfriend. And he doesn't seem to be wanting to give her up any time soon. Nini is devastated, but also up for the challenge. So, join your favorite group as they go on a journey through the trials and tribulations of Puppy Love and Sunflowers.

Nini Salazar-Roberts is perfect from head to toe. Perfect hair, grades, body, smile, personality, and practically everything else you could think of. She's been cheerleading for as long as she can remember and had been captain for two years. She's nothing short of amazing and quite possibly the nicest person you'll ever meet. Now Ricky and Ej couldn't be more different. Ricky goes to a prestigious private arts school and is an incredibly talented singer. He doesn't have the best grades around, but let's just leave it at he's passing. He's well known around the school and is a pretty normal person. But he's a little bit of a "rebel". He sneaks out most nights, drinks with his friends, and has dabbled in doing drugs before. But he's smart about it all, never going near things he can't trust. Ricky's never been one for relationships, well that was all until Nini had showed up with Ej. Nini has it well living with her two moms and grandmother, she's trying to pursue her love for singing, but her insecurity keeps getting in the way, no matter how hard she tries. She knows what she wants, but she just wants to find who she wants to be. As an effect of moving from place to place and losing her brother, Gina decided to try and close herself off. She thinks she's safer when she's on the run, shouldn't open herself up and hide behind her wall. After losing his parents in a bombing, EJ went to live with his aunt, uncle, and cousins, but he feels like he stands out of the crowd and isn't right or normal, for more than one reason. He just wants to find out why he always feels so different. That's all he wants, isn't it? Because of his parents constantly arguing, his abusive mother, and her toxic boyfriend, Ricky is a troubled kid, always getting into fights, stirring up trouble, and never talking to anyone about his problems. He's accepted his brutal situation, but a part of him still wants to escape from his abuse and begin again. When they get caught in an explosion and a freak accident at a science lab during a field trip, they all gain unique and special abilities and are introduced to a whole new world, a world of superheroes. With the help of a few new friends and family, they are able to gain control of their new powers. What happens when a new upcoming villain threatens their city and these four are forced to put their powers to the test? These four must overcome new challenges to protect their secret as exciting discoveries are made, family secrets are exposed, and unexpected feelings arise. When disaster strikes. When a horrible fire breaks out. Rini is trapped and caught under piles of rocks and stones on top of her body from pieces of the falling building on top of her and her mother. When her mom kept trying to get her out. she screamed out at her husband who is also a firefighter as well. But he chose to recuse someone else's kid. He left his daughter to die while he recused his mistress's Amber's daughter instead of his own daughter. He assumed that the recuse team would make it to his wife and kid and assumed that Ruby was in more danger then Rini was right now, and he left with someone else and someone else's kid. He didn't even go back to see if his daughter made it out alright, he left her, he left her mother as her daughter screamed out for her daddy to come back. As she was being crushed to death when all her mother could do was cry and hold her the best she could and trying to lift the heavy stone off of her daughter's body. As she screamed out for help from anybody. Until she was recused by a familiar friendly face that's been in her life since the day she married her Husband. But when they reached the hospital, it was far too late to save Rini's life, she was gone leaving behind a brokenhearted mother and Serenity wanted justice for this. Serenity strikes out for revenge and files for divorce and wants to take everything they love. They had taken her daughter from her. Her death happened because her father abandoned Rini for another woman and child who wasn't even trapped or hurt. So, Serenity wants to make Amber pay for everything. Darien too would get what's coming to him. She was pissed and she had no reasons to hold back her own rampage for revenge. So, Serenity strikes out for revenge. Will she ever be able to love again?
