The Paladins of Voltron are missing, only Coran Shiro, and Princess Allura got out of that battle. The black lion was the only one to make it back to the castle. Then lions Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow where all taken with their Paladins. The green Paladin hasn't been heard from longest, Katie was separated due to her scientific mind and technological mind/ insight. The only thing know about her, is that she is never in the same prison too long. Keith was put in a cell only drones can access, due to his Galra roots. Lance is on the same ship as Keith, but in a standard cell, he is just trying to figure out a way to get him and Keith free. Hunk already escaped, and got his lion, he has been making a b-line for the Balmera and Shay. He was in the lowest security cell, so broke out pretty easily. The Galaxy has been searching for their heroes, the Paladins of Voltron, and they get closer every day. The Garrison have been trying to get in contact with the Paladins for years now, unaware that those who they need to rescue them, are the ones in need of rescuing. Different situation to the end of season six and of season seven. I know this isn't what happens, but this is a Fanfic, not the actual thing. Go to Netflix if you can't handle this, but seriously. I own nothing but storyline and plot, everything else goes to Netflix.

Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the backstory of some characters. I do not own any of the characters in this story, and I do not own any of the artwork. There is smut, swearing, talk of rape, and self-harm in the story. I will not be putting disclaimers at the beginning of the chapters, so if you don't want to read it, move on to another story. Warning: Violence, mention of rape, mention of self-harm, boyxboy, sex.

One of the many societies on the planet with purple grass has developed a way to help the universe, but the Voltron Team knows that this will do anything but help the universe, and that they must stop it at all costs. Together, the five Paladins make up Voltron, Defender of the Universe. And what do defenders of the universe do? They defend it. * * * The timeline for this fanfiction within seasons 1-2 of VLD are unknown, for reasons that will be clear by the end of this particular fanfiction. As such, the characters will know how to do certain things, and not know other things. Because of this, there will be spoilers for some things but not others, and seeing as this happens somewhere within the spacetime between the episodes of seasons 1 and 2. It's weird. Hang with me, it'll all make sense by chapter sixteen. Maybe fifteen. I haven't written that far out yet. There's a battle with the Galra on Earth that leaves everyone shaken, but leaves Shiro in worse conditions than before. (Voltron is not necessarily a part of this story.) None of the art is mine. (Shiro is a winged lion, Adam is human, Pidge is half Altean, and half Galren, Holly is a weird, human thing with wings, Iantha is a catfolk, Lance is human, Luna is a werewolf, Percy is human, Keith is half galra, Krolia is a full Galra and that's about it.) (Krolia is NOT Keith's mother in this AU, Pidge is Shiro's adopted daughter, Adam doesn't die, and Holly, Iantha, Percy and Luna are NOT my OCs. They belong to a very good friend of mine.) (There will be Adashi/Shadam and Klance. NO SMUT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, BECAUSE I CAN BARELY READ IT, LET ALONE WRITE ABOUT THAT.) Crystal Bearers are protecters of the universe and all that magical stuff. A crystal fuses itself to a person, giving them the powers of that crystal and the ability to fuse with other Crystal Bearers. (Cool right? My friend made this all up, none of this was my idea, so you can say a big thank you to her for making this happen.) So the spiral light at the center of the universe was shattered into 9 shards and the universe has been in chaos ever since. Because the spiral light shattered, the Crystal Core was formed, and the Galra have been invading peaceful planets to them more power for the empire, and all that stuff. So Crystal Bearers are sent out on missions, freeing captured planets, freeing prisoners, recruiting new Crystal Cadets, stopping space piracy and other junk like that. I don't want to spoil anything else, so you have to read the book to find out what happens!
