Betrayed Bestie

Riley Piers and Daniel Preston had been best friends since they were babies, until everything changed when they were 8. Nobody knows what happened all they know is that something went down between them. Now 8 1/2 years later they have separate lives, Daniel the popular jock who has it all, Riley the nerd of the school.
Riley Lavender Piers. The school's punching bag, she has been to hell and back and sent back down. She constantly is put down by the school bullies; Daniel Preston, Tammy Hart, and Jack Harper. Oh and she is a mute. Something happened to her and her family when she was 10 rendering her mute making her the school freak.
Daniel Preston. The school's golden boy. He has it all, the popular girlfriend, the best friend and all the good grades. In reality he's perfect and he knows it. He isn't afraid to assert his status as "king" of the town. He has many hobbies, football, running and his favorite: torturing his ex-best friend Riley Piers. He and his girlfriend Tammy love to make fun of her for being different because they believe that she is a abomination to humans and the supernatural world.
But when she doesn't come to school for four months he starts to worry, but soon she reappears and everything goes back to normal. Or so everyone thinks but Riley knows something they don't. One day when Riley shows up sporting a half bruised face Daniel starts to become more aware of what's going on in Riley's life, much to his girlfriend's disliking. Soon everything anyone knows gets twisted, minds are messed with, people are betrayed, hearts destroyed past fixing point, and worst, lives taken.
