He held her close, hugging her tightly. He wouldn't let go. Never.
Light hands cupped his face. It was terrifyingly cold. "Be strong, my sweet baby boy. . ." Her words echoed in his mind, as silence followed.
He tried.
He couldn't.
He just couldn't.
