Blood. It's red shade tinted his hands, telling him the agonizing truth. Tears fell from his freckled cheeks, not having any more will to hide his sorrow. He held her close, hugging her tightly. He wouldn't let go. Never. Light hands cupped his face. It was terrifyingly cold. "Be strong, my sweet baby boy. . ." Her words echoed in his mind, as silence followed. He tried. He couldn't. He just couldn't. Everything was just too shattered to fix.
