Sometimes life strikes you, whether it uplifts you or scares you.
Its a feeling you can't ignore nor describe with words alone.
In ways you never thought possible, feelings of depths untouched are there creeping.

Waiting to be explored and awakened.
Change while inevitable and irreversible, molds you anew, as if reborn.
Healing is like the inner battle of courage in your soul, eternal and unending.

As if lightning had hit you and squirmed it's way inside you, leaving its mark.
You can never go back to the times that were simple before it happened.
No matter how hard you try, you will evolve and grow to something else.
Whether it's in ways that invokes fear or love, it stays with you.

That experience you can't seem to forget, no matter how much you deny its existence.
Or that memory you cherish more than anything, repeating itself in your mind of what was.
That lullaby of comfort stuck in your head that lulls you to sleep, one last time.

Perhaps a nightmare that you awaken sweating from but can't remember.
The effect lingering in your body for whatever reason you just can't shake.
As if something sinister in the background was playing its own little violin while you slumbered.

Here ready to rest in your spirit, the Red Spider Lilies adorn the graveyard of your psyche.
The transformation lays in wait to weave itself into the crevices of your mind.
The Dark Night of the Soul will take its place, unwanted or not, no one makes it out unscathed.
