A Contract; A Relationship
After I wrote the chapter of my other story; 'A Contract; A Relationship' I started writing other short stories about what life was like for both Queen Dice and Luci and how their relationship developed before the main plot line of the show or the game. So I decided to make another story for it lol. Yes, this is based on my genderbent/humanized au blog on Tumblr, though it does take place before it. If there are any trigger warnings or anything I will mention them at the beginning of each chapter. I might also upload this to AO3 but it depends on how much attention this gets here. The Adventures of Cuphead and Mugman!
This is a retelling of the hit indie game "Cuphead". It tells the story of Cuphead and Mugman, two brothers who live in the mystical Inkwell Isles. While exploring, the boys stumble upon the Devil's Casino. They have a good run of luck, but then the Devil himself shows up and strikes them a deal: if they win, they get the whole casino, but if they lose, the Devil takes their souls. Cuphead blindly accepts--and loses! The Devil takes pity on the poor mugs and gives them a task: collect the soul contracts of his debtors in two days. Will they collect all the souls in time, or will the Devil take their own?! The Delicious Last Course takes place a week after the rest of the series. The Legendary Chalice, who prefers to be called Alice Chalice, takes our cup boys to her home, the mysterious DLC Island. One of her friends, Chef Saltbaker, has come up with a recipe for a Wondertart that'll turn Alice corporeal again, and she needs their help getting the ingredients from some fearsome foes. Will they be able to get the ingredients and make the Wondertart? Sure, you might have heard this story before if you've played the game, but I'm trying to put my own spin on this, y'know, fleshing out the plot and characters more. I really enjoy writing this, and I hope you enjoy reading it. I do not own Cuphead, only this interpretation of it and the character Candy Camera. Cover art by DeviantArt user thatonegalaxygirl.
