I was lost and totally confused. The year was 2016 and I voted for Hillary Clinton for President of the United States. Being a mere nineteen years old-battling severe depression, social anxiety and fighting my sexuality-I was looking for "Hope" and I was looking for "Progress". In this book, I start out by chronicling my personal political journey, moving from the bowels of the modern left to the opening arms of the modern right. Following this, I lead the reader on a hard-hitting analytical journey, addressing and deftly dismissing some of the modern left's most persuasive and most used tools of narrative. In the end, things are poignantly brought back to home, as I address the overall deficiencies of the liberal idea of "progress" and how this relates to the theme of finding personal meaning in one's own life. This is at once a heartfelt story of personal triumph and a profoundly rigorous and witty treatment of liberal rhetoric. Hold on to your hats.

Outcasts by KatJWarren

Cassidy lives like most other under 21s - she follows the law. She knows that if she doesn't, she risks being taken away. Rebellious behaviour cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, especially with her parents watching her every move. The rules have been in place for a long time - the Democrats have beaten the Republicans in the New Elections for the past 60 years, with their names being the only recognisable aspects of their parties when comparing to the past. Anyone that chooses not to follow the rules can drop out and become what's known as an Outcast, but then you risk being imprisoned. While America seems to be running perfectly under these laws, a rebellion is stirring among the professionals. With secrets and lies in government and families alike to change the future of America forever, Cassidy finds herself caught up in the middle of the all out war that is about to break out. What she thought she knew about her world is about to change forever, bringing everyone she knows down with her. DISCLAIMER 2016/2017: This book is a few years old at this point, and due to the political uproar in American in 2016 I feel the need to make this abundantly clear. Outcasts takes place in a dystopian world in an undetermined year in the future, and the political parties depicted in this story - the Republicans and the Democrats - are in no way, shape or form a commentary on their real-life counterparts. I had very little knowledge of American politics when I wrote this story, and if I could go back and change their names I would. Throughout the story you will read of absurd flaws in both party agendas, and in no way did I ever intend to shame or defame the real life Republican and Democratic parties of America. See them as purely fictitious - that's what they are, after all.

Addison is gay and has a massive crush on a cheerleader at her school. A cheerleader who is supposed to be 'straight'. But as the school year progressives so does Addison's confusion about Blair. Maybe Blair isn't as straight as she seems... ---- "So a little birdy told me that you might have a crush on me, Is that true?" She questioned. My cheeks went crimson as I looked at her inquisitively, she was so close I could kiss her in less than a second. I kept my composure though and replied timidly "N-no. Who said that?" She looked me up and down and I'm sure...well 99% positive that she stared at my lips the longest. "Well your eyes are telling me different," She responded voice low like a whisper. "What do you mean?" I asked slightly biting my lip from nerves. "Your pupils are dilated which is a sign of attraction to a person," She said licking her lips. "Oh and by the way you look cute when you bite your lip." --- Info about me: Hi, my names Emily. This is the first full story I wrote so I hope my writing has improved since then 😅. Ages 14+ (lesbian concepts and some profanity) This is not your everyday love story, okay? It's not a chick flick either. The events and themes within my pages have meaning, depth, truth-and most of all, reality. You are about to be taken on an adventure about a girl who's life is not like everybody else's. I look like a normal teen girl, I mean, I have hair and two eyes and two hands and feet like everybody else, but I couldn't feel more different. I have two moms, yes. Let's just get that out there before you start reading and close my diary like everyone in my life has shut me out of theirs. All I want is a normal life with normal friends who don't judge me because of my home situation. I don't even remember the last time I went on a sleepover or called somebody my age. I don't mean to be a downer, because it does get better. Life gets better. Struggles are only temporary, I know that now. And by my last words reach your eyes, I've come a long way, and have grown to see potential in myself. I'm sharing this with you because I want to make a difference. I know now that I'm not the only one in the world that feels alone. I've been there, done that, and there's more loneliness to come, but for now, I feel more prepared for it. I know how it feels to sit by yourself at lunch every day and how it feels to watch others go to prom with dates and feel like shit because you don't think you'd even have any friends to go with. Please ready my diary. I am much older now, and much more wiser, and I can't wait for you to realize the potential in yourself, too.
Losing Rene? by sabrynabrooklynne

This book is written from the point of view of a father raising a child alone. It's an emotional journey through past life experiences and present life acceptances that takes place in one single scene with flashbacks that fill the reader in on how we got to that point. The following is an excerpt from one of the flashbacks: " Who is this woman and the kids in your drawing," I asked my son. He sat the crayon down and picked up another without looking up. "Those are mine from before." I raised my eyebrows. "From before when?" "From before I was born." Intrigued, I pulled out a chair and set down beside him as he continued to draw. "Rene, before you were born you were just a twinkle in the eyes of your mother and me." "I had a family back in a time before my life was cut short and I was born this time." "Well from the looks of your drawing, you sure had a beautiful wife." "That's not my wife," he informed me sternly. He began to color again, trading one color for another. I smiled and inwardly congratulated my late-wife Renee for passing on to our son such an imagination. I fought the urge to pepper Rene with questions, but once I had really thought about what he said, many of my assumptions about him up to that point were beginning to make some sense. That evening, long after Rene had gone to bed I fired up my laptop and began to research Past Life Experiences. I found that Rene's story was not all that uncommon, and there were countless thousands of children across the globe had insisting that they'd had a past life. Only, this was MY SON. *This story was written by Sabrynabrooklynne on Wattpad. If you aren't reading it there, it's been stolen. Please report the website. It's probably not the final version either.*
