What does a father get his blind son for his birthday? What if that son doesn't have long to live?

New Beginnings

29 parts Complete Mature

Can Tracy overcome a lifetime of abuse and will Jeff be able to set aside his self-doubts in order for the two of them to find true love and happiness? Excerpt: Oh, my God! You're breaking my heart! Jeff cried out inside. Who's the fucker that made you this scared? I'll kill him! "Whoa," Jeff said quietly as he put his hands down and took a seat on the floor. "Tracy, it's okay. Hey, look at me." Tracy's posture was full on defensive, like he was waiting for the blows. Even though Jeff wanted to cry for this boy and wrap him up in a tight hug, telling him he'd be alright, instinct told him not to touch him right now. "Tracy, please, look at me," Jeff repeated in as soothing a voice as he could, "it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. I want you to hear me and understand. I will never hit you." The tears silently fell down Tracy's cheeks and Jeff knew his words had finally been heard. "Never," he said again for good measure. He reached out his hand to wipe away the tears and before he knew it, Tracy was in his arms. The overwhelming need Jeff had to show Tracy that he was safe manifested itself into a giant bear hug. Tracy laid his head on Jeff's shoulder and accepted this man's affection.
