Grantaire turns away. He can't do this. He had prepared for the disaster that would be the "Why Are Meetings In a Place With an Open bar a Bad Idea" discussion. He wasn't, <i>wasn't</i> prepared for <i>this.</i>

There's a reason Grantaire doesn't go to the Les Amis meetings anymore. His abstinence is only part of it.

I needed a positive character growth for Grantaire. With this oneshot, I'm giving it to him.
This is a meant as a study of "what would have to happen to set R on a better life path" and you can see I have a lot of feelings on the matter. Not only the alcohol addiction stands in Grantaire's way of making something of his life - his view of the world, his obsession with Enj and his own struggles with mental health are also important factors. This oneshot is me giving him the starting point to work on those things and recreate them into something healthier.
