Never Underestimate Her

It is fairly unlikely for a 12 year old to be reaped, as they only have their name in usually under 10 times. it's even more unlikely for it to happen in a rich district, like district 2 and it almost never happens that no one volunteers in that 12 year old from district 2's place. Unfortunately, for Evergreen Sallow she is constantly put in the most unlikely situations. Evergreen Sallow is only 12 years old when she is reaped for the 71st annual hunger games, she expects someone to volunteer, like a lot of tributes do, but no one does. As she is training for the games the realization sets in, this is happening for real. All of a sudden Eve's two years of training feel like nothing against the older children, some of whom have been training for 9 full years. But when she is put in the arena, Eve realizes she is much more capable than she seems.
