Sometimes, being thrust into a new world is scary, sometimes it's amazing, and sometimes, you just want to get the hell OUT of there. This is especially true for the Pokémon world.
Had anyone told me that my fantasies of living in that world would cause our boat to crash (hook, line, and sinker) in the middle of the ocean during summer vacation, and for me to be thrust into the world of Pokémon, I might have called them crazy—a lunatic.
Except, y'know, I'm here telling you my story from the body of a shinx.

Another example would be if you had a bad past, I guess it depends on how you look at it. But what if you had a secret, that could destroy the human race as we know it? Make the world seem that much more dangerous. More exciting. Add a new factor to everyday life. What would happen if everyone suddenly knew about your dark secret, or more importantly, what would they think of you? Would they push away, or join you on the crazy roller-coaster of life.
