When a case goes horribly wrong for Interpol Special Agent and Criminal Interrogator Dr. Alessandra Reid, she's put on temporary medical leave and ordered to stay in D.C with her younger brother Dr. Spencer Reid. There she meets the team and reunites with her old friend Emily Prentiss who leads her towards Aaron Hotchner; their stern-faced and very attractive unit chief. A steamy romance ensues as the two try to bury their sorrows and trauma with each other.
