Sixteen year old Amaka had a perfect definition for the four lettered word, LIFE. For her, it was a decree where you did all you were told without question. Just like the tides in the ocean, The wind and the gale, you went where ever it took you. It had been the same when she lost both her parents in a ghastly motor accident and was forced to move down to Delta to stay with her grand mother. She had been only eight. She had settled in fine admits countless nightmares and anxiety attacks. And now, after another eight years, she deemed life a bit bearable only for her grandmother to break the news that her fathers brother would be coming to take her to reside with his family at Abuja. There had been no room for argument and for Amaka, it was simply another tide that was here to lead her away, she could do nothing but wait and watch.
