On the 31st of December there was always a dawn, there was always Emmeline, and there were always tears. The day Emmeline turns twenty-one marks the return of the darkness that took her parents when she was ten. What begins with a rough night out ends with a home invasion and a visit to A&E, and now the police want to speak with her.
