Can he manage to get through to Cass, or will his efforts only attract unwanted attention from an ancient evil that seems to have been pulling the strings all along? Similar to the first book, this one basically reads as a novelization of the third season, while adding my own changes and including Varian in every episode.

The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. When the gang gets back to Corona, something unexpected awaits them. Varian is nowhere to be found. They face conflicting emotions as the King assures them that Varian is fine. Following his trial, Varian is sentenced to servitude in Ingvarr to pay for damages to Corona. Lieutenant Cassandra is supposed to escort him there, but Rapunzel wants her best friend on her journey. To compromise, the Princess suggests taking Varian with them. ------------------- Updates will typically release on Sundays at 8AM EDT.
