In the future a highly advanced military academy in an apocalyptic setting is created to protect what is left of the USA now know as area 3K. factions and new laws are created to keep order in a still recovering city, but a teenager and his friends stay at the academy will turn for the worst if the anti-faction group has anything to say about it. will the city be able to survive if the academy isn't able to keep order?

The Academy
The Academy is a school for children with abilities. In it, kids and adults of all ages complete their schoolwork. The only way to get out into the real world, however, is to complete ten missions, challenges that the Headmaster thinks up. They're dangerous and often don't end in freedom... Jude is a fourth year student with Superhuman Memory, a practically useless ability compared to others. Unfortunately for her, that means she hasn't even completed one mission, much less the ten that will free her. Carlin is one of the most popular kids in the school--- he has his friends, his teachers, and even the Headmaster likes him--- but not Jude. He's finally gotten to eight missions completed, and his future is bright. When they have to journey deep into the woods with two other girls to find a box buried somewhere under the mud, will they be able to find it before time runs out?

The story begins in a rural Nevada town, alternating between multiple different characters, all of which are teenagers at the same high school. It is a typical Monday for most of the students there, until strange sirens kick off the beginning of an unexpected major apocalyptic event, which appears to be a nuclear assault.
