Because of his parents constantly arguing, his abusive mother, and her toxic boyfriend, Ricky is a troubled kid, always getting into fights, stirring up trouble, and never talking to anyone about his problems. He's accepted his brutal situation, but a part of him still wants to escape from his abuse and begin again. When they get caught in an explosion and a freak accident at a science lab during a field trip, they all gain unique and special abilities and are introduced to a whole new world, a world of superheroes. With the help of a few new friends and family, they are able to gain control of their new powers. What happens when a new upcoming villain threatens their city and these four are forced to put their powers to the test? These four must overcome new challenges to protect their secret as exciting discoveries are made, family secrets are exposed, and unexpected feelings arise. We know how the original story goes right? Ricky and Nini go on a break but Nini considers it a break up, she goes to camp and starts dating EJ Caswell. Fast forward to the first day of school Ricky finds out Nini moved on and tries to win her back any way he can. It does eventually work and you know the rest. But what if that wasn't what happened? What if instead of Ricky trying to win Nini back, he instead decides to consider the break as a break up as well and finds solace in his best friend Carly Aurora Blackwell? They've been friends since kindergarten even before Nini and Big Red and they have been friends ever since. They are similar but also so different but that doesn't affect their friendship. So when Ricky runs from Nini's that night he ends up at Carly's and Red is there too but that night Carly told Ricky some much needed truths and gave him some advice. As summer went on they hung out more and eventually they acted on their feelings and made their relationship official about 2 weeks before school started. What happens when Ricky talks to Nini on the first day and after she admits that she has a new boyfriend, Ricky admits he has a new girlfriend too? How will Nini react to the news?
