Poetry for the Sun's Love

Written in my heart are songs of love, depth, genuinely immaculate love. But I have no words to speak, I find myself tongue-tied when you're near. Know this, if I cannot say, I love you. I do. To quote the dearly loved bride of Solomon, 'His mouth is full of sweetness, and he is wholly desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.' Our love is pure, my darling. For you have touched me in the deepest way, yet, you dared not to hold me near. You have sung a song of pure delight of the way you treasure me, yet, our words are minced not to awaken the torrents of sweet love from the Lord above. These words are true, know that I love you. We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story!
