Haylee Johnson is insane. Being strapped down to a cot for years, with parents that are smarter than they look, she suddenly disappears one night. And no one can find her.
Roxane Mallory is a 23 year old police officer assigned to this simple task. At first, she is annoyed that she has been given something so insignificant, but then she discovers things, disturbing things that concerns the missing girl, and it doesn't look so simple after all. But when Roxane tries to find the 15 year old Haylee, people start dying. A web of lies, deciet and death is spun, and the team starts fearing not only for their lives, but for their sanity as well.
