Kennedy grew up without her father or mother and was living with her Aunt, expecting nothing but to go to school the following week till later that day when her life did a flip. This story is about a girl who is lost in the world and only wants to find her way through life as simply as possible.
That is till she meets the Weasley twins in her first year.

I woke up on the hard ground, snow falling all around me, everything seemed perfect, for just those few minutes between dreams and reality, right and wrong, light and dark. I let a smile spread across my face as the flakes fell around us under the cloudy morning light, making everything look like a snow globe. Then I remembered, my brother was gone, with one of my best friends and my brother in law. The whole Weasley family was sleeping in my house because they couldn't go home, and I was cold. I opened my eyes to see George sleeping soundly with his forehead rested against mine, this was one of the few things that plastered that smile right back on my face, one look into his eyes and I can forget all the tears mine have cried. One kiss to his lips took away the memories of the screams mine have held. One embrace could melt away the sadness of the thought that I'll never hug my father again. Sarah reached into her bag, pulling out 'Advanced Potion making 6'. She opened it to the contents, using her finger to single out the sleeping draught. She turned to the page, her eyes glued to the ingredients. "Ok, I'm going to need an apple, which is the easy bit to get," Sarah began, whilst Fred and George leaned over each shoulder to see the problem. They didn't see anything out of the ordinary. "What's the problem, then?" George and Fred chimed. Sarah smiled slightly, and for a moment, the twins thought they'd convinced her. "We need one Newt's spleen, which I ran out of," Sarah replied, her smile gone. It was replaced by a look of determination, mixed with a hint of excitement. "But, I know where we can find one," Sarah added, her voice as low as a whisper. Fred and George glanced at each other in curiosity, hoping Sarah would go on. "What are you saying?"
