You think your life is hard? Meet Fanden Mikaelson, he's the eldest sibling of the infamous Mikaelson family. And much like his younger brother, Niklaus, he's a Hybrid. But...not of the traditional type. He's not a hybrid of an Original Vampire and a werewolf, or Original Vampire and a witch. No...he's a Hybrid of an Original Vampire....and the Devil himself. Fanden was possessed by the Devil when he was born. As he grew older...the stronger he became. He wasn't a witch but he could do magic, he wasn't a werewolf but he could transform. He was the first abomination...and he was the one the world feared the most...because not only was he the Hybrid Devil...but he also was in charge of Hell. It only made sense when you're permanently bonded to Satan for all eternity. He's a force to be reckoned with...but no one has seen him in over 700 years. They haven't seen him since he laid waste to all of the Mongol Empire in the 14th century. And still to this very day...his name is very much feared. His very name sends shivers down the cruelest of men and women. He was a living legend. The bogeyman. He gave monsters nightmares. After all....he was the Devil.

But what happens...when the living legend comes out from the shadows in a small town in Virginia? What happens when the cold-hearted, broken legend...meets a girl? When he meets a certain blonde headed headstrong vampire? And what will he do when he hears that...he's not the only Mikaelson in town?

And...what if he has to fight for her affection? Something he hasn't felt in ages? What will he do if it isn't returned? Will he close himself off again...or will another brighten the dark cold emptiness in his heart?
