"Cry for me; I'm the only one that can understand your tears."

♙

In the city of St. Petersburg, Russia, you've made an ordinary life for yourself after moving and burying your childhood misery in Moscow. Every day is the same, every thought getting repetitive as you work to keep certain memories locked and simply live aimlessly but in peace.

You didn't know how much it bothered you until you meet a melancholic young man one day at a small bookstore, his violet eyes gleaming with familiarity, and he begins a chain of events that feel like nothing more than just a dream, his ideals wrapping around you like a blanket on a cold winter day.

♙

Basically my own take on Fyodor's pre-decay of angels days starting with a bit of a bookstore au.

♙

Disclaimer: I do not own bungou stray dogs or any of their characters. Credit goes to respective parties. I only own this plot and "you".

- I will be using female pronouns

- I will update when I can

- When phrases are in italics in the middle of the story, those are "your" thoughts. When I write a section completely in italics, those are "your" memories/flashbacks.

- [f/n] = first name, [l/n] = last name, etc.

♙

Big thank you to my friend Mar for this cover. <3

Fyodor Dostoevsky - The embodiment of a demon, his soul contaminated with every impure attribute that is humanly fathomable. His hands stained with the blood of innocent lives, even those closest to him. The same delicate hands of which he so graciously strums a musical instrument - by name of the cello - his refined performance is a deceitful pursuance. Osamu Dazai - A man once nothing but a demon prodigy for Yokohama's Port Mafia to control. A puppet broken free from his confined strings, only to play into the hands of another puppeteer. A man of proper etiquette, a soul who has trudged through the depths of hell, and born with humane qualities. Salvation is but an unreachable illusion, he seeks redemption, but is torn down by Dostoevsky Fyodor's rupturing, sinful morals. A relationship born from two men, both viewed as monsters, inhumane beasts. Love is but a new field of exposure to them. One having been infatuated from his past love experience. They'd like to believe this partnership can bloom into a beautiful, requited devotion for each other. Now, I wish I could say this is our ending, for I regret to inform you, this is no pleasurable tale. If neither break free from the shackles dragging each other, this love could burst into something sinister, incomprehensible. After all, every rose must lose its petals before withering, shriveling up into nothing but dust of what once - a delicate florescent. With two souls so similar, but different in their views of this cruel world, how can one prevail over the other? Will our antagonist have to relinquish. Rendering himself at the brink of death - for the victim to leave the abuser lying on the ground, watching him draw his very last breath? Concluding this novel with a 'justice beats iniquity' trope. Or will our protagonist venture astray, leaving all sensibility, surrendering himself to the villain, whom everybody warned him to stay away from? Why, that might just class as an unhappily ever after..

COMPLETED • There is no better way to describe you than a doll, living to please your owner. At the age of 11, Mori took you in from an orphanage and brought you to the Port Mafia; that's when you met Dazai and discovered your ability. At the age of 12, you become Dazai's right hand...except you aren't allowed any contact with the outside world. At 13, you hear a voice that you are told is nothing but a dream, at 14 you've become nothing but a puppet in the hands of a puppet master. At age 15 he's gone, and you are left with nothing. In the present, now 19, executive Chuuya Nakahara is given responsibility of you, but when he takes you on a mission and you don't react the way he needs you to, he starts to realize something is terribly wrong with you...he just doesn't know what. Only meeting you once in the past, what will happen when he starts piecing it all together? How will he react when he starts to care more about you than he should? What strings will he have to play to free you from your past? How deep do your wounds run? • - Trigger warnings: the usual you'd find in BSD, implications of sexual harrassment. - I will be using female pronouns. - nsfw warning in part 2 (chapter 41). • Disclaimer: I don't own the characters except for "you". The credit to the Bungou Stray Dogs world goes to the respective owners. The plot is all originally mine, however. • Thank you to Mar for making me this lovely cover. Love always. (@marster_)
